Had lunch at the cafe -- 3.5 stars, rounded down. It was frustratingly almost great. But IMO for an $80 lunch it needs to be solidly fantastic. My waiter took long to take my order for main and for dessert. Food wait times were very long as well. Took many minutes for my dessert to come, and it was a slice of galette with a scoop of ice cream. Baked salmon - Almost incredible. The cook on the salmon was gorgeous. But the flavours and seasoning were just far too subtle for my taste. My first bite was exciting and I was hoping for more, but I felt like the amount of flavours diminished with each subsequent bite. Sadly underwhelming for $47. Apricot galette - Almost incredible. Overall it was just too tart, even with the ice cream trying to balance things out. The crust was great though.

the salads, entrees, and dessert were very well balanced. i love how their ingredients were. i did prefer the egg for the salad to be a little more runny. loved the sweet and savory balance of the fig toast and prosciutto the pasta with veggies did not really do it for me. i felt it was an overabundance of corn and veggie accoutrements, which was distracting. pork loin was nice and tender. the seasoning for the loin was nicely done. the olive oil cake was something special. i could taste the olive oil from the cake. nice and fluffy as well although not in the pictures, the apricot galette was not my favorites. i think the apricot filling was too tart and sweet. it is a tricky dessert to get right, as cooking the apricot will make it even more sweet. I would suggest adding a tad bit of salt to balance the tartness, and sweetness. The last five years I came here, they used to scrape the bread crumbs off the table for me. this time they did not do it even after we finished the bread and going into the entree round. they finally did it before the desserts. overall, i applaud the use of fresh ingredients.

Went there because of the recommendation and reviews. The food had good flavors. But not sure if the price justifies it. It’s a prix fixed menu in the dining area. They have no cocktails, only wines and (?)beers. The servers were nice and attentive. There is an upstairs dining area that’s not prix fixed

Delicious food and great service. Definitely price and a special occasion kind of place. We were pleasantly surprised with the small appetizer, dessert tea, and small candies (orange peel and chocolate covered almonds) included with the prix fixe menu!

The food was outstanding and the staff were exceptionally attentive. Every dish was packed with amazing flavors and the presentation was perfect. If you can, ask for a seat near the kitchen for an even more exciting experience. We will surely return soon.
